This morning I woke up at a decent time with my mind set on getting all our things packed and everything ready for vacation. I walked out to the computer and called Cambria who was at work. After a minute of talking, she asked if I had been in the bathroom yet. I said no, and made my way back there. On the counter I found a piece of paper with the bold letters “Congratulations” typed across the top, followed by “you are going to be a daddy!” Cambria had left the pregnancy test there along with the paper. It was complete with a picture of a stork carrying a baby and an explanation that said our baby is due around February 10th. Needless to say I was excited. It is the first time we have consciously tried to get pregnant, and we weren’t keeping our hopes up. At the same time, it’s a huge thing to have a baby, and I am a bit nervous. Cambria feels nervous too but we are both looking forward to it. I heard a quote on a movie that said having a baby is like getting a tattoo on your face, you’d better be committed. All kidding aside, we are fully committed! I’m excited to start expanding our family. Cambria is so cute with our nieces & nephews and I can tell she will be an amazing mother.
