2011 Catch Up

This year has flown by so far. School has taken up most of mine and Cambria's time. She started nursing school this semester so life has gotten a bit morecrazy than usual. She's starting a different position at her work that will allow her to workless hours and focus more on school. I am finally on the schedule regularly at my work, and am juggling school around graveyard shifts. Cambria will have some graveyard shifts as well, which will be interesting if we end up working the same night. I'm used to her being at home, in bed, but now I might be able to talk to her on the phone throughout the night.

School is getting pretty tough for the both of us. It seems like I am always doing chemistry homework, or trying to figure out what my Microbiology teacher is saying. My teachers this semester are horrible teachers, and are set in their old way of teaching that doesn't work for most of the class. My physics teacher is amazing though. He won the Utah state Science Foundation teacher of the year award. He runs big studies about how people best learn and retain information. He also does demonstrations at elementary schools all the time. So, that is my better class out of the three.
Aside from school, we get together with family from time to time, mostly for birthdays. This month we went to Kari and Kyle's new house for my dad's birthday party and had "Penrod Tacos." We also went out to Texas Roadhouse for Emilee and Cambria's birthdays. Cambria's birthday is this Thursday. I have to go get her present tomorrow or Tuesday. I know I should write more often because I'm sure there are a lot of good memories I'm missing.
This last week has been Spring Break, and we go back to school tomorrow. We went snowboarding on New Years Day with Monty, and had a blast. Cambria and I were able to go again on Friday and had a lot of fun together. My legs started burning really bad close to time togo and I had to stop a bit early. I'm definitely not conditioned for snowboarding right now but Cambria could keep it up forever. She had ran a 15k race a week before, so her legs were more than ready for the challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed the day with my wife. It was a bit windy, but overall a beautiful day. I would like to take my nice camera up sometime and see what kind of shots I could get. I'd probably have to be on my own since it would take me a good hour to get down the mountain each run.

We have had most all our nieces and nephews that live close come over for sleepovers at different times. One night Rya, Paige, and Brooke came over. They played games and had a blast together. I played pretty pretty princess with them...and won. I don't know what that means though. I did, however, relinquish my throne to someone else. I couldn't handle the stresses of being a princess in a room full of much less ugly princesses than I. Just this last weekend, Payton and Braden came over. I hardly saw them because I was asleep in the evening before working a grave, then slept in till they were gone in the morning.
Well, I hope to be able to write in here sooner next time. I think that during the semester there isn't much of interest to write about, so I overlook it. I need to make this a priority since It's my way of keeping a journal.
