Cambria's New Job

Cambria started her new job yesterday. She is now working at Thatcher Brook and is doing home health and hospice. Here is the website if you want to take a quick look at it. http://www.thatcherbrookrehab.com/Hospice.html She was given a separate work cellphone. She'll be working weekdays from 8-5, so I think we will have more evenings to spend together.
Last night we watched part of Band of Brothers then went out to find Cambria some binders for her job. We went to Target and Wal-Mart but couldn't find what she wanted. Afterward we stopped by my work at the Olive Garden, and got some amazing hot chocolate and a slice of lemon cream cake in the cafe. It was very enjoyable to be able to spend time with my wife. I know it's a small thing, but it really makes me happy to be with her.
Today I have been trying to get homework together before I have to go to work at 4pm. Cambria's friend, Jeff is supposed to come by and help me fix the wiring on the light in the loft so I can get that hung on the wall. Then the office will be officially complete, except for some organizing I have been putting off.
School is crazy and hard, but Cambria is a great support and works very hard for our little family here. As for me, I hardly work but do homework and do as much house work as I can. Cambria is still trying to get me to cook, but she is just so dang good at it that I think we would both suffer if we had to survive off the nutritional value of my cooking. I am going right now to get some rock chips repaired, then wash salt off my car. It has started to have little flower shaped salt crystals all over the side that are looking like I got a custom paint job to make them look that way. All I know is that the flowers must go!

Cambria is home

It's Sunday and I just got home from working late. I don't like having to work on Sundays, but there is really nothing I can do about it. At least it is every other Sunday. Cambria got home yesterday morning from Hawaii. I was still in bed and woke up cold, so she was able to warm me up.
Yesterday after I got off work Sharlyn and Rya and Aiden were at our house visiting Cambria. Rya is the cutest little girl, she loves to play with our blocks and read the same books over and over. You would think she would get sick of them, but she never does.
That night, Cambria and I went and played pool at Weber State. I won two games, and she won two because I scratched on the eight ball. She is pretty good though and keeps up pretty well. We got a redbox at Smiths, then found out that we had already seen it once we put it in, so we went onto netflix and watched a movie online. It was a very nice night with my wife since she had not been home. It is true that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I did miss her and appreciate her much more now. She does a lot around here for our family, even though she will tell you she does nothing. She finally looked at the blog today for the first time, and I showed her a little bit how to use it.

Day 2 without my wife

I last wrote yesterday morning. Since then a lot has happened I guess. It is pretty boring on my end since I am coming home to an empty house. I went to work yesterday, then had a meeting at the bank with the Homeowner's Association people. I am now authorized to sign checks on our account. I then spent the rest of the day finishing the window, which looks perfect now. I wish I knew how to do electrical so i could hook up the outlet beneath it, and the light above it. I was looking at the wiring a few minutes ago when Cambria sent me a text. I had put my phone on the window sill, and was holding some wires. Well, the vibration of my phone against the window scared me half to death and I jumped thinking the sound was the wires. I guess it was a good way to get my heart started for the day. I wonder if getting scared like that is a detriment to your health, or if it in some way can help your body...Well, i guess it does. It gives your heart a little bit of exercise. It's just like a short run for the bus or running after the dog for a minute or two.

Last night I couldn't fall asleep for the life of me. I laid here for over an hour trying not to think of my wife. I guess you know you are pretty newly married when you can't fall asleep without your wife next to you. I was talking to my friend Janson today and he said he sleeps better when he has the whole bed to himself. I don't want to ever get to that point. I'd rather not sleep well when my wife is gone, than sleep better when she is gone. Anyway, I think I will go to the temple now before my next class. There is really no homework to do right now and I need to get to the temple.

Tuesday Morning and it's snowing!

Tuesday morning. Today Cambria left early for work. Usually I'm such a heavy sleeper that I hardly remember her even waking me up to say goodbye. I'm glad I woke up today because she is going to Hawaii to be with her mom, Linda, till Saturday morning. I haven't ever been away for my wife for that long. As I laid back in bed I couldn't help but shed a tear or two thinking that she wouldn't be there for the next four days when I woke up. She is my reason for a lot of things, and today it was harder to wake up than usual.
I spent all day yesterday working on the window. I am kind of slow when it comes to things like that especially this being my first time. I guess you might say I'm a little OCD about it. Maybe I get that from my artistic side, or maybe I just get it from my mom and grandpa. During high school I took a few art classes and particularly enjoyed my pottery/sculpting class. So i guess I enjoy seeing how something should be and building it that way. The thing that bothered me the most about it all was having to wait while things dried before I could continue. Luckily they were playing my favorite show, "Mythbusters," all day on the Discovery Channel so I could watch that while I waited.
When Cambria came the other night and I was working on the window, she was very helpful. I forget to eat when I really get into something, so she made me a very good dinner, and let me work on the window with no interruptions. I will be done with it tonight after i get home from work, which is what I have to hurry and get ready for right now.

(the window isn't crooked, the picture i took with my phone is crooked)

Sunday Sunday Sunday!

Well, it was a pretty good sunday for us. We got up and headed down to Springville for Cambria's cousin's farewell. He is going to the Houston, Texas mission. I didn't find out where he was going till he started talking and I got kind of jealous that he was going to be in Texas and I wouldn't. I am very happy here though. Sharlyn, Rya, and Aiden came in the car with us, so it was pretty fun. On the way back, they got a ride with Monty. Cam and I drove back alone. About half of our trip was spent coming up with ideas on what to name my car. Every car I have owned has had a name except for this one. Let's see if I can list them off.

Duke the 87 Acura Legend
Lloyd the 92 Geo Prizm (who sported a chrome painted rubber ducky as a hood ornament)
Senorita Blanca the 89 Honda Accord (Blanca for short)
Roy the 2001 Volkswaggen Passat (Because he was bought in Roy)
(________) the 2005 Pontiac Vibe

Anyway, Cambria is trying to fall asleep next to me because she has work early, and I have absolutely nothing to do tomorrow since I don't work and school is out for the Martin Luther King day. I am going to try and get the window in the loft all finished up. It's been a while and Kyle has been helping me. He's pretty busy and is doing it for free, so a have been more than happy to have his help. Once the window is in I can move the computer upstairs and get the office all put together, and when this is all done, we can start saving to be able to put a staircase in too.

The other day I spent some time creating a 3D model on the computer of what I want the stairs to look like. It was way fun. I want to finish designing the whole house sometime. I should get to bed. I want to get up early. I keep waking up early even on days I don't have a 7:30 class. I kind of like it. Buenas Noches.

Starting a Blog

Well here we go, starting a blog. We are setting out on an adventure full of world conformity, and vanity just to have a reason to write somewhat of a journal. Your full attention will be expected each day for at least two to three hours to study these texts carefully, scrutinizing my every move. You must submit written papers of why (or why not) you agree with what is written. A biweekly meeting will be held to discuss what is to be done to those who over scrutinize my life. Those people will be done away with immediately in a close to medieval fashion. Thank you for reading this introduction to my blog. If you wish to do so please proceed with caution, having been fully warned that you are entering into a twisted world of mystery, suspense, and intrigue. Watch as Cambria careens down busy streets to get to work on time. Hold on to your seat as Josh navigates across cold, empty parking lots after late night Spanish class! What will happen next? Who knows! Will the window get finished? will Josh make a PBJ on Wheat.....or on White! Tune in daily for your dose of adrenaline packed repetition, and boredom! Tune in during finals week for our frustration packed, homework marathon!
Seriously though, It's pretty cool that we have a blog now, whether or not your read it will not affect in any way our love for you. I will probably be writing in it more than Cambria since i am more computer savvy, so a lot of things will be coming from my point of view. I'm just figuring out how to use this too so if anything looks totally weird, I apologize. And if I get a little weird, It is late, and I most likely can't sleep.
