Nothing better than a Sunday pickin berries

Today was a great Sunday. Cambria and I both had lessons to teach in church. She teaches the young women, and I teach the young men. After church, we went down to Monty and Linda's house for dinner. I sure enjoyed my time there. I have always felt very accepted and welcome in their home, and have enjoyed becoming closer to each member of their family. We had agreat meal, and had a lot of good laughs. We ate some great cake that was made by the same lady that made our wedding cake. Cambria's brother Seth was there too. It was nice to see him since he wasn't able to make it to Alaska with us.
After we left their house, we went over to my parents house. My grandparents on my dad's side were there. We sat out on the patio and talked to them about our Alaska trip while they waited for my dad to finish cooking their dinner on the grill. We left when they went inside to starteating. Once home, Cambria noticed the blackberry bushes that are on a narrow stripof land between our condos and the hospital. She had the thought to go out and pick some. Nobody really claims them, or even picks them. We took stuff from the car inside, grabbed a tupperware, and headed out to pick some blackberries. Even with all the scratches and thorns in my hands from reaching through the bushes, I had a great time with my wife. The sun was setting, which cast an amazing sunset. I really am a lucky guy to be able to enjoy the little things like a Sunday evening sunset, picking blackberries with my wife.

Now I am feeling the need for some blackberry pie, maybe I will run down to Maries and pick one up.
