Cambria is at work right now. She is doing great. She got us going on a new diet that our Insurance guy told us about. It's called the Paleo diet. The best way I can explain it is that you only eat things that were around before agriculture started up. We have chicken, fish and tons of fruits and vegies. You aren't supposed to have any wheat, potatoes, rice, pasta, sugar, or "fake foods." I am actually really liking it. I don't feel the need to have sweets, and am starting to enjoy the sweetness that fruits give me. Vegies are tasting better too. Cambria is such a great cook as is, so i'm sure her cooking helps. It is Thursday which means that it's my night to cook. So with this new diet, we'll see how that goes.
Life is great. I am happy. I have a wonderful and beautiful wife. (both of those are talking about one wife, both wonderful and beautiful.) I guess it is about now in life when God gives your challenges... Like when you find out that the bowl of cereal you were about to eat is against your diet.
Yes. One grows into the paleo diet nicely. I remember when growing up in the 1950s sugar was sprinkled on fresh berries. No wonder people end up with a sweet tooth. These days I prefer raspberries over strawberries, as I find the latter to be too sweet!
ReplyDeleteBy starting the diet now Cambria will see (and feel!) all the benefits of being paleo while pregnant.
Here's how I explain the diet: http://paleodiet.com/definition.htm.
