Valentines Activities

We had our Valentines Day activities early this year since I have to work tomorrow on Valentines night. Thursday, Cambria and I went to the Texas Roadhouse and used some gift cards that I won at my work's Christmas party. It was 35 dollars, and we ended up spending almost nothing on our meal. That's an ideal meal, especially for us newlyweds. Tonight, when I got off work, we went out to the Institute Couples Ball. They had a dinner and a dance. It was catered by Javier's. It was alright food, what made it better was that I was way hungry after missing lunch because of work. It was a semi-formal dance, so we dressed up. I wore my same old clothes that I wore for our engagement photos because they are the only nice thing I own that isn't a white shirt and black slacks. Cambria wore a pink dress with a black sparkly top. She did her hair in a pony tail slightly to the side and pinned up a little with a flower in her hair. She looked gorgeous.

I really enjoyed being able to talk with people from our ward I had never gotten to know. They are some really awesome people. After a while, we made it to the dance floor. I really had a good time dancing. I have never been too comfortable dancing around other people. I guess it is probably the only thing I get shy about. I have a really hard time breaking out of my shell and being me. I don't know why. Cambria is exactly opposite. She is amazing, and got me pretty comfortable tonight. We started in with a line dance, and worked to some swing dancing. I actually took a swing dance class one day, so I am not too horrible at that. Dancing with her for really the first time being married was amazing. For some reason I couldn't help but love her more afterward. It was really a special night for me, and I hope it was for Cambria as well.
When we got home, we were too tired to watch a movie which was our plan, so we played Monopoly Deal, which is a card game that goes by really fast. We played three rounds and I won all three which made me really happy because last time we played, Cambria won five out of seven games. I think all five were in a row too. It was really fun. I love spending time with my wife while we are young and not extremely busy with kids yet. Tomorrow Cambria is going to make breakfast then I can give her my Valentines card I got her. That is the extent of our gifts this year we decided.
